[Bucketlist] Lights! Motor! Action!

So one of the things that I wanted to do while on my second college program that I hadn't on my first was go to Lights! Motor! Action! this is humorous only because I have never liked cars and stunts much. I find Indiana Jones Stunt Show to be mildly entertaining but only because it is so predictable and come on who does like Indiana Jones. Anyways Back to the point. So Bryant and I got up and got dressed and decided this is what we were going to do on one of my days off. Now from working in Backlands which covers stores that Lights Motors Actions dumps into I have learned that it is best to get liquids before the show starts. We were running late because I was taking my good old time getting back and then stopped at Writers Stop... (while officially writers stop is a coffee shop it fall under the classification of a merchandise store so you do get your 20% off as a Cast Member, just saying) Anyways I picked up poweraid and we went on our merry way. The show was packed. I dont know why I didnt think about this but it was on my mind and on my bucketlist so we were doing it! The show was okay I found myself zoning out. I can see why it would be really great for someone like Bryant who loves cars but I was just bored. I enjoyed seeing Bryant so excited so sitting in the hot sun was worth it but I would consider going to the show in like October when you don't have 100's of foreign tourist surrounding you. Not a good thing. Anyways maybe I just wasnt in the mood for it but you will always hear me telling Guest that its a really GREAT SHOW but I personally dont like it, because it is a good show its really well done just not my cup of tea. Oh and now apparently Lighting McQueen is in it, not Herbie. It appeals to the younger crowds but alot of the people who remember Herbie being in it seemed disappointed, shoot they were disappointed that we really didnt sell Herbie merchandise.

I need to ramble

I dont really know what this post is going to be about. Its honestly not advice on how to survive being about from your boyfriend or girlfriend. Trust me I am not doing well with this whole thing. I know what I do to keep busy and I know what I wish were being done. I dont have any sort of ideas. Being a girl and sort of creative I have 100 things I would do for Bryant if he were in this situation.  But he is not the one in a different city with only school work to keep you busy. So I get frustrated. So if you are leaving your other partner for a few months figure out ways to make it work. I cant say that its still going to work out. I am only two hours away from Orlando and I have to do everything in my will power to not jump into a car or plane or anything that is moving in the general direction of Walt Disney World. But I cant. I know how busy you can be on the program I also know how you can not be busy. Buy a whole bunch of postcards and have them signed by characters. Send Mementos. I am not looking for plush or candy simple things like fast pass and the story of how you went around EPCOT and remembered this memory but also created this memory. I dont know. Maybe Im just use to being spoiled with love. But It doesnt matter because I just have to sit and remember Bryant is not me and he is trying. He tries and that is all i ask for.

Sitting and Waiting... Disney Movie Club

The hardest part last time was the sitting and waiting. I think the only reason that sitting and waiting isnt completely killing me is because I am going to Disney May 1st No questions or Comments. It doesnt matter I will be working seasonal hours at Disney until my check in date.. and lets be honest I will probably be picking up shifts in the backlands still. Anyways. One thing I did last time to make the wait until I got to go down to Disney was joined the Disney Movie Club.

Now when it comes to joining the Disney Movie Club I was very weary to join at first. Having to be on top of the emails that have you deny a movie I dont want.  Golly it sounded like so much work. Then I read into it a little more. You dont actually have to order any of the movies that come to your email. You have no obligation and trust me some of them are awful but other times they are wonderful. You can buy in bulk numbers and usually save money. This is what I do. I have done it twice. Not including the initial order from when you first sign up. So tip number 1: I would go to retailmenot.com and see if you cant find some discount for Disney Movie Club. So right now the Discount Code that seems to be the best deal when signing up is [17674D] It gets you 5 DVD or Bluray for 1 dollar. then your 6th movie for 6.95 and your 7th movie for 11.95. Now the initial order doesnt always have the greatest movies to pick from but I ended up with a lot of the Pixar movies and random disney movies that were on my list honestly so it didnt matter. So anyways back to Disney movie Club, I was glad that I joined. I now have 22+ Disney movies only 7 or so didnt come from Disney Movie Club. I usually order when the 40% off comes because the movies at 40% plus free shipping would be what my Disney Cast Member Discount would be with regular merchandise. Now the two year thing is really easy to do because you make 4 big orders in two years (Once everytime I movie comes out of the vault to be honest) and you should be set. I fullfilled my movie obligation with in a year because I made the mistake of not canceling two movies. One being Tron, which Bryant was okay with and the other being Cars 2. Much better than getting the Gnomeo and Juliet. The other ones I made bigger orders with the 40% off. I got a whole bunch of movies that I love and have a whole list built up for when the fall Disney Vault Movie comes out (CINDERELLA!!!) But if you love Disney movies like I do it is for sure something to consider. I pre-ordered my Lady and the Tramp with them back in early December and am so glad I did because I didnt have to worry about it now. But I plan my orders and I just wait for the 60% off (once your a VIP member to hit) and usually I try and wait for the free shipping too but in any case. Join Disney Movie Club. It would be awesome if you used me as a reference so I get stuff out of it too. Contact me via message on Facebook: Catherine Brunner from some town in Florida (It changes) cause I love free movies just as much as the next person. So anyways if you have more than 5 Disney movies but have a list of movies you want. Even if they are adult movies distributed by a Disney  Company, and there are a few of those. I would just consider it. So maybe ill hear from you about join. If you have any Questions leave Comments Below. My list of Movies is on the side. I didnt put which ones I got through Disney Movie Club but non the less it is still a good Idea. The biggest tip I can give you is even if they are only offering 40% off if it comes with free shipping it is a good Deal. Thats the thing I find to be the killer is the Shipping. 40% off with free shipping can equal in savings what 60% with no free shipping is.

Another way that I kill time is I do school work and I write in this blog. I have so many blogs half drafted on a piece of paper. But I dont know it just seems silly to put them all on here. So Ill just continue with writing what comes to mind. I know some people are not into blogging and vlogging but do something to be able to keep the memories in your head. I have a journal. and a blog. I find both to be really helpful. :) Do something even if it is just a powerpoint slide show. I am very excited to be hearing about my interview mostly because there is no fear in not being able to go back. I am more excited than anything. March 28th in apparently my audition date. It is a wednesday. I am not nervous really I just dont like to think about all the work that goes into getting down there.

I dont really have anything else to talk about. I am very excited to hear back and you'll probably hear back from me before then. If not Ill be watching Disney Movies :) TTFN

Phone Interview 3.0

Yes, thats right I finished my phone interview this evening. I had a shorter interview but the last two times they were 45 minutes and I had a women both times. Statistically women are prone to talk more during interviews from both ends. I am a talker but I tried to leave it short and simple. I think I did this. I picked up the phone and was very cheerful. I learned his name - Brandon - and we basically got started with the whole thing. I focused more on my work in daycare programs than my work in merchandise or costuming. I dont remember answering that many questions or having alot to ask. I just remember talking. Obviously there were some questions or else the interview would not have lasted 24 minutes but we talked about Photopass and Concierge but he didnt ask me anything about BBB so I asked him why he hadnt asked any questions about that. He seemed sort of surprised that I was as proactive as I was about that. His answer made me feel fantastic. I gave him all the answers he was looking for without having to hit the questions. I was really glad to see that he didnt spend alot of time focusing on random roles or even consider asking me if I would consider doing QSFB something I am clearly not interested in. I have a good feeling about the whole thing. We will see. I didnt hear him typing like in the past and it makes me wonder if they just fill in check boxes now. Hmm. Interesting. Well hopefully in a few weeks I will hear something. I am not nervous. Is that weird. Maybe it is because I am seasonal and there is no fear in it for me. Who know but I am just excited to see what happens. For now i will keep an eye on the auditions website. Grief.

Alright Folks Time for an Update

This morning the Disney College Program Applications went live. I mean the applications showed up at midnight and the Facebook group went a little crazy. I got really nervous but filled out the application and then went on to watching Mary Poppins. I dont know why I was nervous, maybe it is because I was selecting such limiting roles. I dont really know but I was. Now that it is done with I am not nervous but that because my Best Friend is coming tomorrow and I know that if this doesnt happen for me I still work for the company and I still will be moving there in May. So what do I have to lose give a great big smile and SHINE! So this afternoon at about noon i get an email telling me to take the web-based interview, but since i am seasonal with the company I had to call this number and get my application pushed through to the next round. YAHOO! So i get another email. telling me to schedule my phone interview. Thursday January 26th at 6:15pm. I am nervous but again what do I have to lose be my magical self and convience them that certian roles are WONDERFUL for me. So after Thursday I will update you all again. Fingers Crossed.

Back at Step One.

I am back at step one. I am back at the application process. This list of roles is very selective. I am very very selective. I will be going to Entertainment auditions. I am actually going to be going to two. One for the College Program and one for full-time/part time. Since I am not living in housing it is not as if not getting the College Program is a problem its just another alternative to the list of options. So I will be doing that. I also am keeping my eyes out for another special audition that I am interested in going to and that everyone in my inner circle thinks is a good fit. So fingers crossed. Anyways. Next week. Last time I was very lucky to have heard a little more than 2 weeks after i applied. This time the application will be a little different. No E-Presentation that everyone loved so much. No Web Based Interview because I work for the company currently. Its a whole much of not necessary things. Hopefully that will benefit me. The roles I am looking to apply for are...

1. Character Preformer
2. BBB
3. Concierge
4. Photopass

I know everyone is like Oh those roles are so specific but this is my thing. If I dont get it then I will just go to casting and put in for a transfer in.

I am back in Jacksonville

Here I am laying in bed at 12:00pm. I feel like a bum because I am not out doing something but this is the situation. There is nothing to actually do. I could unpack but I dont know where to put my stuff and I could be getting ready for classes but I strange as it seems was very on top of school stuff while down on my program. So now I am hanging out waiting for school to start as well as waiting for applications to come back out. I am startiing this process over again. This time it is different in that if I get in I will stay down there. Bryant is working and saving I will be saving money this semister. The plan is this.

May 1st - or the weekend surrounding it. I will be moving down to Orlando. I have two apartments in mind so that it good. One is furnished the other is not. I think in the end Bryant and I will go with the furnished  one even if it requires a little bit more money it doesnt bleed us dry. If I dont get the College Program I will be moving down and working seasonally but also I will apply for things with-in the company.  Hopefully I will get the college Program and it will not be any problem. I am only applying for a few things. Concierge, Photopass, BBB, and Character. I may add CA to that list but as of right now Im not sure. I know these are all very selective roles I just would rather work in my location as seasonal and apply for seasonal in the role that I ultimately want which is BBB, if character doesnt happen.  I know this is very much not interesting but I am excited to reapply. and go through the process especially since housing is not going to be happening.
