More things to do when your broke:

so i have this list of inexpensive and free things to do while waiting to go to disney or while you are there. i thought i would provide you with that wonderful list since it is basically a wonderful list.
as of tight now i have no idea how this is going to be split up but i guess i would start with...

WHILE YOU WAIT AT HOME:

- Free Customized Maps : here. You can customized them with your favorite resturants. I loves these maps. they are beautiful. Unfortunatly you can only order one set every 6 months but they are the prettiest things. I personally like the vintage style maps instead of the disney cartoon style. It takes a few weeks to recieve but in the end they are totally worth it.

- Free Autograph Photograph from a Disney Character: This requires a little more time and a little bit of postage. You need to write a letter to disneys fan mail. at

The Walt Disney Company
Attn: Fan Mail Department
500 South Buena Vista Street
Burbank,CA 91521

BEFORE YOU GO TO THE PARKS:

-The Monorail: I dont know about anyone else but I know that sometimes just jumping on the monorail and watching all the people get in and out of the cars. Even though you cant ride in the front of the monorail anymore its still a nice way to spend a little time.

- "water transportation" : The boats at disney are wonderful to spend sometime on especially if its a little breezy. The ferry that goes from TTC to Magic Kingdom is one of my favorite because your not crammed up with 25 other people on a little boat. I also am a fan of the trip from the polynesian to magic kingdom.

- Transportation Cards: most of the time Cast members only give the cards to kids but you ask usually cast members a fairly nice about handing them out. You can get the transportation cards from the different types of transportation at disney. (Buses,Boats, Monorails) I believe there are 18 cards total.

- Downtown Disney: Its always free. If you dont buy anything. And sometimes window shopping and walking around is a nice break.
  • Click here to see what entertainment is going to be at downtown disney. this might be school groups it might be a range of different things but it doesnt hurt to check it out.
  • Play with Legos at the Legos Imagination Center
  • Make a postcard of Mr. Potato Head at Once upon a toy. you create it on a touchscreen. the print it out and if you answer all the questions on the back there is an opportunity for a prize.
  • The "Potato Bar" at once upon a toy in pretty neat to. make sure you dont have to buy the body and tap the box on the table (you can fit more in that way.) Mr. Potato head bodys are much less expensive off property. its $18 dollars to pack the box.
  • Free Chocolate samples at Ghirardellis
  • Trivia at Art of Disney: ask a cast member if they have a trivia quiz. if they do ask about how to participate and winners get a free prize
- Fireworks: You can watch fireworks from the beaches or see if there is any space in the lounge/bar in the california grill.

- The Bricks: Walk along the path by the magic kingdom that people during the 90's bought for a certian fee. See if you find anyone famous. (I believe you might be able to get a list of bricks at the information booth at mk of famous peoples bricks)

- Visit a Resort: The resorts are like a little mini theme park something always happening. If you like people watching this is the place to do it.

- Richard Petty Driving Experience: Watch someone pay a small furtune to drive a car at high speed around the track. you can watch them for free. and if you wanted to for some odd reason you can buy a tire that was used during one of the laps for $5.

- Mini Golf : The mini golf courses are 10.75 a round. withe two locations there are 3 courses to choose from. Your second round of golf is half price. Also: ask for the secret hole of the day when your done your game. if you got a hole in one at that hole you might recieve a speical treat.

- Wide World of Sports: During pre-season stuff tickets are 11.25. You can look online for games.

IN THE PARKS:

-Celebration Buttons: they are fun to collect. and you get a warm fuzzy feeling when someone recognizes your celebration. Sometimes cast members add little personal touches to your buttons. (my last birthday button had tons of bows on the letters since i was wearing a bow.)

- Park Maps : I know they are everywhere but sometimes things are changed and if you like to journal you can use them to help show your activites of the day. I dont know obviously as a cast member you might not want to get these but i might be wrong.

- Collect character autographs: do meet and greets

- Free Bottle of water: Stop by first aid and get a free bottle of water if its to hot and your lacking funds.

- Photopass: Its free and if you know how you can copy page the photographs for your collection

- Collect the paintbrushes: on tom sawyers island. you will get a coupon for something or a fastpass for anyride.

- The Masks: If you complete the mask by getting all 11 charms you get a surprise. You complete it around the world and it gives you the opportunity to visit every pavilion.

- Free Drawing Class at Hollywood Studios in the Animation Center: Not much else to say. Its 20 minutes long and what you create is random but always basically fun.
